I never thought I’d see Trump happier than he was after winning South Carolina, but he was ecstatic tonight. His speech was surreal—proud dad talk about his rifle stuff boys; a bit about how he’s going to “grab, grab, grab” and “be greedy” for America; the usual wall talk, but somehow even more grandiose. But the highlight (if that’s even the right word) was him listing every demographic he won, which included, well, every demographic. He won with women. He won with men. He won with the highly educated. And he won with the poorly educated. (He loves the poorly educated.)
Describing the highly educated as the “smartest people” and the poorly educated as the “most loyal people” is a bit problematic, but something tells me it won’t hurt Trump one bit.
