Marco Rubio might want Rick Santorum to stop endorsing him.

On paper, getting Santorum’s endorsement was a big win for Rubio. Santorum is well-loved by religious conservatives, a Republican Party demographic that Rubio needs to secure to win the nomination. “He’s going to be hopefully very active in our campaign,” Rubio said. “We want to use [Santorum] as much as he’s willing to work for us. We’re excited by it.”

But Santorum has a funny way of giving his stamp of approval. Asked this morning by MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough to name one Rubio achievement as senator, Santorum blithely said, “The bottom line is there isn’t a lot of accomplishments.” Perhaps Santorum isn’t the advocate Rubio was hoping he’d be.
