The New Republic’s Alex Shephard noted that even though Trump skipped tonight’s Republican debate, Bush seems scared of him. Perhaps it’s for a good reason: While at his competing rally, Trump still managed to work in a few jabs at Bush. Talk about kicking someone while they’re down.
“Jeb, why are you so obsessed with me?” Trump asked, almost certainly unaware that somewhere across town, Bush was saying, “I kind of miss Donald Trump. He was a little teddy bear to me.”
