After a House Financial Services Committee hearing in November, the Big Three’s CEOs all agreed to accept annual salaries of $1. (GM head Rick Wagoner obviously isn’t even accepting that anymore.) But many other CEOs--for a variety of reasons: decency and fear of a public relations disaster being just two--are taking no more than a crisp dollar bill per annum on their own volition.
