After Trump’s Burlington rally this evening, Sanders aides say they’ll shovel “what the cow leaves on the barn floor.”

In a fundraising email sent out this afternoon, Sanders’s campaign manager Jeff Weaver used a clever farming metaphor to describe how the Bernie army plans to combat Donald Trump’s aggressive move to hold a rally in the former mayor’s city.

“Vermont is known for some of the nation’s finest dairy products, so we’re pretty good at identifying and shoveling what the cow leaves on the barn floor when we see it,” he wrote. “To this day, no one has been able to make Donald Trump pay for the price for his antics. But we can.” The email provided a link to donate $3—an example of the small contributions fueling the campaign—in solidarity with Sanders. Weaver’s email also cited a December 22 Quinnipiac University poll that showed the Democratic candidate receiving 51 percent of the vote to Trump’s 38 percent in a head-to-head match-up.
