Bernie Sanders has apologized to Hillary Clinton, proving wrong everyone who predicted major fireworks in the debate tonight.

ABC News

It’s possible this will be the third time that Bernie’s biggest, most-replayed debate moment will be one in which he’s nice to Hillary.

“I apologize,” is how Sanders concluded his long and boring answer to the first question of the debate, about the data breach of DNC voter information in which a Sanders staffer looked at Clinton campaign information. Before the debate, it seemed possible there would be a big fight between the candidates over this micro-scandal. A Sanders aide compared the campaign’s “mistake” to Clinton’s “mistake” in supporting the Iraq war. But Sanders did not go after Clinton. He promised any other staffer who breached such data would be fired.
