Adopt an Emoji is the Name a Star for the technological age.

Right in time for Christmas, Unicode, the emoji-regulating consortium, is now offering sponsorships for all your favorite cartoon communications.

Has your brother been a real scrooge this year? Get him a thumbs down emoji—the texting equivalent of a lump of coal—for the low price of $100. Looking for something fancy for a new romance? Splurge on a diamond emoji at the silver ($1,000) or gold ($5,000) level. It’s like a real diamond… but not.

Proceeds go towards Unicode’s efforts to convert all world languages into digital form so that everyone can text in their native tongue. So not only can you strike a couple people off your shopping list, you can help a good cause!
