Granted, Rick Santorum topped Mitt Romney in the state’s 2012 caucuses by a mere 34 votes (and a few precincts’ votes were never certified). Mike Huckabee defeated Romney four years earlier by a more comfortable margin.
Today, a month and a half until the 2016 Iowa caucuses, Huckabee is polling at 2 percent in the Hawkeye State while Santorum isn’t even in single digits. They are truly the also-rans in this dinnertime sideshow.
