After months of rumors of a bigger than usual halftime show for Super Bowl 50, the NFL booked Coldplay.

Oh, well. It could have been Maroon 5. Bruno Mars is also set to appear, which is fine, I guess, so long as he doesn’t bring the Red Hot Chili Peppers with him.

Beyoncé, who appears on Coldplay’s seventh (and possibly final) album A Head Full of Dreams, is in talks to perform, so it’s not all bad.
